Do Good Donor Game (DGDG) – Good Faith Disclaimers

Please note: Gifts will be given away on an ongoing basis. The total number of free gifts to be given away in any particular year will be determined by participating sponsors, participating hospitals and Can Do Coalition (CDC).  Any given year, the DGDG may need to be paused or modified by acts outside of CDC control (see CoVID).  While CDC cannot guarantee that 100 Hope Ribbons will always translate into a free gift for a sick kid, for the first 20 years we have been able to accomplish that goal!   With your support we will continue to make a positive impact.

The Do Good Donor Game is a public service activity designed to recruit volunteers who are willing to share their regenerable stem cells with someone fighting to save their life.  For example, a child fighting leukemia.

These stem cell volunteers elect to register themselves on a volunteer stem cell registry by sending in a buccal swab (a.k.a. cheek swab) that captures their HLA markers.  If, in the unlikely event, someone is in desperate need of their specific regenerable stem cells (e.g., they are HLA match with kid fighting cancer), then the stem cell volunteer gets a rather exceptional opportunity to save a life.  Please see our FAQs to learn more.

Thank you for your participation. Please spread the word!
