Thank you for playing the Do Good Donor Game. Your HOPE Ribbons for this section have already been counted.
In the ONE (1) HOPE Ribbon module you learned about adult blood stem cells and why stem cell volunteers are needed.
In this module, you will have opportunity to earn FIVE (5) HOPE Ribbons for learning how to become a stem cell volunteer.
1. Start, by finding an accredited Registry in your country by going to the Worldwide Marrow Donor Association (WMDA) database. We provide a link to WMDA database below, but please first continue to read how to utilize the WMDA database…
2. Once within the WMDA database, you will be able to search for registries by your country’s name.
3. Within each country section is a list of different stem cell registries and their accreditations. We recommend you contact a “WMDA accredited” registry within your country. Click into their linked profile to get their contact information.
4. To stand ready as a champion => to indicate you are ready “on deck” for a patient trying to survive their cancer — just contact a “WMDA accredited” registry. They will help you register as a stem cell volunteer.
